Vaccine Requirements

Puppies and adult dogs must be vaccinated and proof is required.  Exceptions can be made for dogs with special circumstances but written notification from your vet is must be presented stating the reasons why. In those cases, a private or semi-private appointment will be made to insure the safety of our clientele.

Rabies

Mandatory for all dogs over 16 weeks old.  This is available as either a 1-year or 3-year dose

DA2PP (Parvovirus, Parvoinfluenza, Distemper)

Mandatory. Given individually or as a combination vaccine.  Adult dogs should be re-vaccinated, annually or with a 3-year dose

Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

Not mandatory but strongly recommended. Kennel cough is highly contagious and remember, we are a kennel-free facility and we encourage doggie interaction. Better safe than sorry.

Leptospirosis

Not mandatory. Protects against bacterial infections that enter the bloodstream through the skin, most commonly on the pads of your dog’s paws. Feces from other animals or vermin, e.g. rat droppings are the biggest culprits so it’s never a bad idea to clean your pup’s feet after a walk as well.

Dog Flu

Not mandatory but strongly recommended due to the recent outbreak. Like human flu, mild symptoms and make it hard to distinguish from other forms of canine infectious respiratory diseases, like kennel cough, so we will not be able to complete your groom if we suspect your pet has been infected.

We look forward to hearing from you
